I purchased a computer case that came with a power supply. The power supply is 300 Watts. I purchased a new motherboard thats Intel, and Quad Core Q6600 processor. Also I plugged in an 8400 GS video card (PCI). I turned it on, it seems ok, but I have no video displayed out of the video card, or from the on-board video. I unplugged the video card, and just used the on-board, and the video displays just fine.

I tried the video card on another motherboard (AMD 2600+ XP processor), and the video card works fine.

I'm wondering if the reason its not displaying video on the new motherboard is because there just isn't enough power.

If it isn't enough power, what would be recommended?

I doubt the 300W PSU can handle a high end system like that. What are the rest of the system specs/hardware. And why is there a 8400GS paired with a Core 2 Quad CPU?
