hey i was wondering if crossfire/SLI if better than just upgrading a single graphic card.
i currently have the 4870 512mb (my motherboard does not support crossfire or sli )

would you guys recommend getting a new motherboard and then crossfiring? or should i just stay with my current motherboard and save up for a really good graphic card not yet released. im sure my power supply can handle any single card that will come out :P

well seeing as you already have a very good GPU your only option is to crossfire. (unless you waste alot of money getting a 4870 X2 or nvidia 295)

I would upgrade to a Crossfire motherboard, and run 2 4870 X2's in quad Crossfire. Yep, that is exactly what I would do if I were you.

Upgrade something when u really dont get the performance u need from it.
For now HD 4870 is pretty good and u are happy with it too, when it started to struglle in games or other things that u need, then that would be a good time for upgrading :)
