Horribly Slow CD/DVD Loading

I recently installed a new motherboard, along with 64 bit Vista. Ever since then, every cd/dvd I put in my drive takes a ridiculously long time to load. Sometimes near 5 minutes. This is an especially huge pain when installing multi-cd software. What could be causing this? It was never like this with my old mobo or 32bit XP, or 32bit Vista (all the same components).

Check the manufactures website for a firmware update for your drives. And if you haven't done so already try different cables.

I swapped cables, and it still happens. It looks like my firmware isn't campatible with 64bit Vista. I looked everywhere for it (its an Optiarc AD-7200A), but all I can find are 2000/XP drivers. Looks like I might have to look into getting a new drive. =\
