Hello,
My computer has so many viruses it will not boot. I get a black screen with "check with system administrator" on it. Cant trash it, to much $ involved,

Reinstall the OS if it was that infected!

Hello, danbro, and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Ignore micheal black's advert - you can get good free advice here.

Taking your point about important files and Area51's good advice to reinstall, you could use a free Linux operating system as a LiveCD to access your data without risking infecting another system by connecting into that.

Post back if you'd like more information on how to do it.

It is possible to boot using a BART CD.

This is a part of an operating system on a disk, you can load certain things on a BART CD such as an anti virus software and scan without having to boot your actual operating system.

If you could get your hands on one of these, you can repair.
