did I get ripped? bought an HP DV6810us w/ 2G DDR2 667 mem & AMD X2 TL60 2ghz -which speed tests on wizard cpuspeedtest & cpuspeedpro around 800mhz. is that for 1 core?? even so- abit slow still? device mgr reads CPU- 2 amd TL60's both working properly.

why so slo? how can I tell if I really got an X2 2ghz TL60? & if so how to speed up?

ANY FEEDBACK WELCOMED. THANX

Download CPU-Z from www.cpuid.com This will tell you at what speed your CPU is running. More than likely, AMD's Cool & Quiet is throttling your CPU down under low load to maximize battery life. Try running a intensive program and you should see it snap back up to 2.0Ghz

followed feedback from another forum & changed CPU consumption on power settings from 5 to 100% & it tested out @ over 2ghz... quite a throttled downed default on the X2
