System restore encountered an error

Hello,
I was asked by the escan guys to turn off system restore and scan my computer in safe mode. Now each time i try to enable it i get this "System Restore encounterd an error trying to enable/disable one or more drives.Please restart machine and try again." Please Help.Thanks

Try this:
Start>Run>type msconfig
Go to services tab, and look for System restore service. Check the box and click apply. If not, try to start it from msconfig's tools tab.

If still no good I think you can enable it via the registry, but I forgot the entry.I'll think about it.
