Hi there,

I had no idea where to post this, so I just chose this helpful forum.

I recently bought a new PC, containing:

Asus P5Q
C2D E8400
Corsair TwinX 4GB DHX
Corsair 520HX psu
2x WD 640GB black
CM 690 case

I installed Windows XP, and now everytime I shutdown the PC I hear it zooming through the speakers. You know, like the sound of when you turn off the vacuum cleaner.

I use the M-Audio Delta 1010lt soundcard. Any ideas?

Thanks for reading, greets Rowan.

It also happens when I choose the Realtek HD drivers as the default audio device.

Setup: Delta > RCA cable > Stereo amp > speakers

Something to do with ground perhaps? Electrical issues? Help very much appreciated.
