Use any workststion to install XP inside Windows Vista or Win 7

to install XP separately means....

First go to BIOS settings and change an setting

BIOS--> Configuration---> SATA----> IDE

Now install XP, but now if you are using Win 7 also means it won't boot,you have to again alter this to back...

I am currently booting XP off of drives in AHCI mode, and once made the mistake of installing Win7 on IDE mode drives. While you are perfectly correct that these are the most common modes, it does work either way. Although XP on AHCI drives calls for F6 during installation and adding the appropriate drivers, which is a pain.
