I bought this proc a week ago from ebay for 260 euros. i want to know if you can tell if a processor is refurbished or not? it seems that my cpu box is different from other Q9650's boxes. (mine has one side blue and the other side all white and other boxes have all the sides blue.) does this make a difference? thanks

The box should be sealed.
If it has been opened, it is used.
Check the markings on the processor and box against these:

the box was sealed with a transparent piece of tape and on it was written "factory sealed" and it has all those markings correctly

After you install the processor, run CPU-Z as a final verification.
