This is my first build as I stated. Will be used mostly for PhotoshopCs3, IllustratorCs3, and Painter. General use and light gaming. I have no need for playing them on high settings, nor do I want to play Crisis. Budget is $600.

Really doubt I will be overclocking.

-GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2HP AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard $79.99

or

-ASUS M3A78-EM AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard $78.99

-SAPPHIRE 100236L Radeon HD 3650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card $54.99

-Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory $32.99

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor $89.99

-Antec Basiq BP500U 500W ATX12V Version 2.01 Active PFC Power Supply

-Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $94.98

-Western Digital Caviar SE WD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive $49.99

-LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA $25.99

Just wondering if everything will work together fine. Which motherboard is the best choice. If the PSU will be sufficient. Planning on running Vista Basic 64(also in the budget). Current PC is a Dell Dimension 1100 lol. So nothing really salvageable from it other than the hard drive, which I plan on slaving in the new rig, and the monitor.

Not hard set on anything other than wanting to use AMD. As I understand I will get the most from them in my price range.

Thanks.

Antec Earthwatts is much better than Basiq. The 380W would be plenty of power.

WD Caviar SE16 640GB is only $10 more, bigger and faster. (Temporarily OOS though)

That video card really won't give much improvement over the on-board.

The rest looks good.
