just a question, do all graphic cards provide the same quality of images and gameplay for example if i put a GTX 295 and 4870X2 side by side which will have a more clearer image?

second question with direct x 11 coming will GTX 295 or 4870X2 support it or should i wait?

last question any new cards being released soon? will there be a price drop for the high end video cards anytime soon?

thanks

Any functional card will produce the same image as another functional card given that you''re using the same graphics API. Image quality is reliant on your screen.

If one of your GPU's is running on Windows XP & DirectX 9 and another GPU is running on Vista & DirectX 10, then you will see image differences. The difference is minimal and the question of which one is superior is based on taste.

Well, that's mostly true, though there can be image quality differences due to anti aliasing or something like that. The differences will be minimal though, with a slight edge usually going to the ATI card recently (not noticeable though unless you pause it and do a very careful side by side).

image quality on dvd and blu-ray playback usually differ but in games and such, its usually the graphics settings that govern that.

No dx 11 run on the gtx 295 or the hd 4870x2 but ATi has dx10.1 which nvidia dont so some of dx11 features will come to dx10.1 and the gap between dx10.1 and dx10 will stretch. I recommend a hd4870 till the dx11 tide hits us a few months from now.
