I'm looking for advise on a new build. I'm getting 6500 back on taxes and my wife is letting my buy 1100 dollars worth of computer parts. Now this is what I came up with. Could I get get some of ya'lls thoughts on what would make this build better and keep the price around the same. Thanks.

I already have a CM 690 I'm using from my last build. Also the HTPC case is for all my old hardware. I wanted to be able to setup a home theater system

Also I had a mobo question. Will this mobo work with the cooler??? I want to be able to OC the wolfy up to a 3.6 and leave it there. I game most of the time with a 22 Acer at 1680x1050. With this setup run pretty much all games right now maxed out with over 30 fps???

looks like a near-perfect build to me. However, I would switch the hdd out for this one -

Alright switched out for the WD black edition drive. Thanks for the info. I'm going to ordering on friday and I just wanted the best performance I can get. Thanks again.

Change the cooler to a Xigmatech HDT-S1283 (cools better than the overpriced Zalman) and skip the Arctic Silver 5 (cooler includes paste).

You shouldn't need extra fans, but if you do then go with Scythe Slipstream.

FYI on the paste, many highly recommend the MX-2 over the 5 as it is ceramic and isn't as prone to electric discharge.

He's putting it in a CM 690, plenty of room.
