Hey,
I am only getting 125 fps in COD4 and only about 30 FPS in WOW. Is there a problem with my computer. I am running XP 64bit, Below are my specs. I have the new updated drivers for everything... It was like this when I reformatted.

Specs:
Intel Core2Duo E6400 2.13ghz
G. Skill 3GB DDR2 667mhz
Biostar MOBO - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813138035
Antec 500 watt PSU
EVGA 9800gtx

I have everything on Performance, vertical sync and AA off. What is going on. Is my card getting bottled by my Processor or something... IDK what to do. My card has loaded weird 2/15 times. It locked up and the screen was blurry with turquoise, pink, like it was 8 bit colors.

Isn't Wow fps locked? I know a lot of games (such as real time strategies) lock their fps, and WoW could be the same.

Maybe its the PSU?

May be in WOW, 'Vertical Sync' is left ON.

Wow is processor bound more than GPU bound, your rather anemic dual core is the issue. Not your GPU

Did anyone else read the title and laugh? -_-

As others have said, check vsync in the wow graphics settings. That can really mess it up. Secondly, try and OC your CPU some. WoW is typically very CPU bound before it is GPU bound.

(and no, wow is not fps locked)

I have the exact same setup as you, running an e6400 and 9800 GTX+. Your card is fine, WoW is very CPU intensive. I OC'd my CPU from 2.13ghz to 3.0ghz and I noticed a decent FPS jump from the 30 FPS to around ~40 FPS. There are even some people with 4870s and getting FPS in the 30s range too because of the CPU "bottleneck".
