Symptom of RAM overclock?

Hello,

I'm using Patriot DDR3 1600 rated for 7-7-7-20 and 1.9v on a GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H motherboard.

The issue I'm having is that when resuming from hybrid sleep (Windows 7) the screen flickers constantly. I have to reboot. I can still use the computer and it works quickly(opening folders, files and Firefox) when this happens.

Is this because of the ram overclock? The video card is not being overclocked in this situation.

I think I have the right settings in BIOS because I've used memtest and Prime95 to test for 5 hours each with no errors. Far Cry 2 plays just fine, basically everything else is great.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Good job on finding the problem. I use speedfan for a temp monitor.

Side note, I recommend running prime 95 for at least 8 hours for a final stabillity test. I've had rounding errors and cores shut down in the 7th hour running mine. By then it usually happens to be something outside the processor causing it, like RAM or NB.
