Update February 26, 2005
http://www.livin-it-up.net

Yet another Livin-It-Up update. Boy, I'll tell you, I've never dreaded
preparing one, always get excited when the time comes, but seriously, it
seems like we just did this.

Well, we survived the wait for Daytona 2005, and we're off to Fontana,
California, and if you've got half a clue what the heck I'm even talking
about, you'll surely love the first item in our update. Ohmikeghod's
previous NASCAR creations have been a big hit to many. At the same time
they've also prompted many requests. Perhaps the most requested among the
list of NASCAR greats has been the late Dale Earnhardt car. This update we
proudly add the #3 Goodwrench Chevy Monte Carlo driven by the late great
seven time NASCAR Winston Cup Series Champion, Dale Earnhardt to our growing
collection of NASCAR legends for The Sims.

Also for The Sims this update we've got a selection of great new walls in a
variety of styles by NorthernKat for your latest build or remodel.

On to the world of Sims2... First, I can stop whining, short of a few
graphical oddities, I finally got a PC that can run this game. LMAO, now I
can see what the fuss is about. I like it, I don't like it, really I'm not
sure about it. I love all they've added since The Sims, but frankly find
much of it simply means it takes forever to do anything comparatively. Old
dog, new tricks, I'm sure I'll adjust. Enough about me!

First, an interesting new Sims2 hack from gnohmon for this update. This
single flamingo, when you click on it, allows you to change what day of the
week it is. It is useful when you want to go to work everyday to make money,
or when you want to not go to work while keeping your job, or when you want
the kids to go to school. Hmmm, as a parent, I'm imagining a world where any
time I wished my kids could suddenly be gone to school.

For your Sim's personal style needs, vix adds some great new outfits to the
Sims2 skins section. For the ladies, some lovely new dresses and
blouse/capri outfits. For the guys, pardon the hillbilly in me for showing
if I call these formal wear... Some great new flannels.

Some psychedelic new floor patterns by Huntress equally capable of
triggering either a flashback or epileptic seizure. I like 'em! From
Pendragon, (been a while, glad to see you back!) some fine floors and walls
as well.

Four interesting new homes for Sims2 in this update. From Similis, the
"Ranch Style Home", "Family Starter Home", and the "Secluded Cottage".
Smaller homes priced $25,000 or less, two under $20,000. Perhaps one of the
most unique homes we've had on the site to date comes from gnohmon this
time. "Pyramid01", and it's just what you'd think, a simple pyramid, yet a
quite functional home ready for your decor.

Finally, if I say this every update it feels redundant and less meaningful,
yet at times I don't feel it gets said enough. Thank you! Thank you to all
our supporters, donors, those who write or post their support, even those
who passively visit the site. Mostly, thank you to our staff. Even times
where I'm pre-occupied with life and not around here totally "driving"
things daily, it's nice to wander in here at update time and see that things
just happen, you guys took care of business, and everything's there ready
for me to go. Thank you!

Actually I did post the picture to binaries, but I know my news server's
retention is terrible, it only showed there for about 4 hours for me which
is fast to drop off even for them. Most should hold it about a day though.
Without a commercial news service, 12-36 hours is average life expectancy of
a binary, seems less all the time.

What I should probably do is start adding a URL to the image at the bottom
of the text for when the binary drops off and for those who don't get the
binaries group(always forget there's quite a few of those). Now, wonder if
I'll remember that in two weeks?

And, if you ever miss it, 99% of the time it's merely the image from the
front page of the update.

I didn't see it, it's usually attached as a another post to your main
one, but I went to the site (of course) and saw it there. ;-)
