Bang for the buck is a large factor.
Kingston and Corsair are pretty much the only brands available where I live.

The best source of this info is from Gigabyte itself. Do a Google search for "[Your Motherboard Name] QVL" or just look for the product page of your mobo on Gigabyte.com. The QVL basically lists what RAM Gigabyte was able to test with your motherboard; anything listed there should work nicely.
