  1. Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

What about it? If you're looking for a key without paying Microsoft for it, you won't get any advice here at Tom's.

  2. XP Home Security is Malware.

  3. In which case the OP needs to start Task Manager by using Control Shift and Escape together, click the Applications list and click to End Process on anything he suspects and do eth same under the Processes tab do the same. Next run a search for files of type .exe including Hidden and System Folders created within, say, the last week and delete any he finds that he didn't intend to install. Then he needs to go to http://www.malwarebytes.com and download MalwareBytes (MBAM).

Install and update it then restart into Safe Mode with Networking and update it again. Run the Full Scan, click to Show Results when it finishes then click Remove Selected. Restart back into Normal Mode, go back into MBAM and click the Logs tab then copy and paste the log back here.

If the system still looks wrong, post back for more help.

NOTE: Paying these scammers doesn't remove the mess they leave behind.
