How to change hard drive in sony vaio fz11z

I got sony vaio FZ11Z with 200gb hard drive if I would like to upgrade it to 500gb. How can i do it? How can i generate the hidden recovery partition of windows and how can I copy all of my installed programs in the new hard drive?

I'd do a clean install if you are switching hard drives. just make a set of recovery discs using the program that should have come with the laptop. You could always clone or ghost whatever you want to call it to the new hard drive. Then from there it is just taking the laptop apart and switching the hard drives.
