Stock HSF....i like that v8 you got!

750 modular PSU

Does the GTX 295 only need 8 pins? Cause I'm not going to buy a psu that only has 8 pin PCIe connectors.

Ran at 1920x1200, and dang it looked beautiful!!

It runs ~35 consistently. The highest I've seen is ~45 when I was running the 3DMark06 bench. It is blowing and sucking through so many fans, it is ridiculous. It is like nothing but cold air that I feel. I'm so happy with it

Mine cools about the same. Mine is 35 C idle-light work, and about 55 C on prime 95 small FFTs.

sweet...are 3dmark06 scores the same as 3dmark vantage scores? Because I had seen like 22,000 3dmark vantage points w/ the gtx 295 and a stock i7 extreme (like 3.2?).

Was the temperature you stated with the OC, and did you use the evga software to read the temperature? thanks.

Yes, that is with my OC. I am currently running at 29. I'm looking at the temp on the provided EVGA temperature monitor, located on the motherboard.

And we're done!! Connected my 25 feet of Cat-6 (got it for real cheap since friend works at the place) through my floor to the router under me, and set up the desk and sound. I'm on the internet, and this is the first post I've made using my new computer. Everything is so ridiculously fast, it just blows my mind. I don't know how I'll be able to cope with all the extra time I'll be saving! lol

sweet! i have like 75 percent of gear you are using on my comp that i just built like a week ago. except im running the ex58 -extreme and radeon hd4870 x2 video c and a sniper case

going to try to o/c it to 4.0 on thev-8 heatsink, i tried two watercooling systems to cool my i7 and the video card and my proc temp reached 75c on teh first kit and 62c on the better kit, so i returned both of them and got the v-8.
