d-sub is the connector used for analog mnitors such as the your CRT monitor, they are the one and the same.

I did a build for a friend recently with that exact motherboard and CPU and it went off without a hitch. It is possible that your motherboard did ship with an older bios version. The MA78GM-US2H needs bios version F3 to recognize the Athlon 7750, so if yours has a older version your going to need to update it with an older AM2 processor.

For clarification purposes, a CPU is not the term for the entire computer. It's a chip about the size of a silver dollar.

Did you take these parts out of the other case and put them into the new one? Or did you buy all new parts?

ok and i just moved parts from case to case and
i know the proccesor is the CPU..but im in the habit lol from playing games ^_^ sorry buy dose any one know what the problem with my screen is ? it just starts up black -.-
