Second, SD memory cards have a lock feature that prevents writing - check it. Third, check to see if the file is marked "read only" (right-click on it and choose "properties" to check). The first two are the most likely. The latter usually produces a different error though deletion can still be possible. | Report abuse Ask the community Publish Tom's Hardware>Forum>Windows XP>Remove write protect> Related ressources: ForumHow can i remove write protect from my flash disk ForumHow to remove write protect sandisk pen drive ForumHow to remove write protect from flash disk ForumRemove write protect flash memory USB+4GB ForumHow to remove write protect from trasend 4GB ForumHow to remove write protect sandisk 4gb pen drive ForumRemove write protect from sd memory card ForumHow to remove write protect sandisk pen drive ForumRemove write protect ForumHow to remove write protect i-Ball pen drive ForumRemove write protect ForumKingston usb remove write protect ForumHow to remove write protect from flash disk ForumHow to remove write protect from flash disk ForumHow remove write protect in usb flash memory silicon power ForumGetting past administrative password ForumHow to format write protected memory card ForumThe disk is write protected ForumWindows Delayed Write Failed;chkdsk fail;recover lost data?
