Remove write protect

First, make sure the files are not in use by the system or some program.

Second, SD memory cards have a lock feature that prevents writing - check it.

Third, check to see if the file is marked "read only" (right-click on it and choose "properties" to check).

The first two are the most likely. The latter usually produces a different error though deletion can still be possible.
