So, like the topic said, this is my first computer build from scratch. I just want some feedback on the compatibility of the parts and any recommendations/suggestions you guys have. I'm not into overclocking, I just want to make a great gaming computer...able to play Crysis. Here are the parts.

The GTX 285 is quite large. I would find someone who has successfully put one in an Antec 300 without issues before you pull the trigger.

+1 to different PSU. PC Power & Cooling is my brand of choice.

I think you'll be much happier with shortstuff's idea on the ram.

I also agree that you might want to pick up a bit larger case. Try the antec 900 and see if you can get a combo deal for one of their psu's as well. In general antec, crosair, pc power & cooling, and seasonic are all solid choices. Just that antec runs deals with their cases quite often.

Other than that I think you'll be very happy with the rig.

Something to note is what type of monitor your using. This rig might end up being overkill for your monitor if its a low grade monitor. Probally would want a monitor's resolution to be at 1900x1200 with this setup. Otherwise your stepping into overkill and you can easly go with a gtx 260 or gtx 280.
