External Drive not working after comp. switch

Hi!

A few days ago I took my external drive over to a friend's house and plugged it in the computer (windows 7). When I later plugged it in my computer (windows xp), it sees that there is something in the usb-port, but not that it is my external drive. Any help?

You may have knocked the drive and killed it in the move. Try taking it back to your friends house and see if it still works.
