Hi all, have studied many articles, and upgd'd a friends 'puter, but not achiving (I think) rated speed of proc. Orig system was Optiplex 330 with 1 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 and a E4400. According to Dell Users Gde, it supported 800 MHz memory and either a 800 or 1066 MHz FSB. I bought Corsair 800 MHz DDR2 (4GB) and a E7400. The system is running, but Windows system info says system only running at 1.8 GHz, instead of 2.8 GHz. There appears to be no overclocking options in the BIOS, so I may be stuffed, but can someone PLEASE help me understand why a CPU with a 'supported' FSB speed underperforms the rated specs?
