I am relatively new to this group and this question has most probably
been asked a thousand times, but.
I live in Spain (about 200 kilometres south of Barcellona) and I want
to watch the Free To View channels, most notably BBC1 & 2, ITV1,
Channel 4 and Channel 5. I have a 1.2Metre dish, with a Grundig AUN
12S LNB (0.7dB noise) a PACE 2600 Digibox. I have not found a source
for proper Satellite cable yet, so I have connected my LNB to my
Digibox with about 20 Metres of Standard 75Ohm terestial aerial cable.
I have a satelite finder meter and I have spent a lot of time making
sure that my dish is pointing directly at the satellite/s. I bought
off Ebay, a secondhand SKY free to view card, and here is what I am
getting.

101 BBC1 (Yorks) 80% picture break up
102 BBC2 (England) perfect picture
103 ITV1 (Yorkshire) perfect picture
104 Channel 4 "no satellite signal being received"
105 Channel 5 perfect picture
175 ITV2 "no satellite signal being received"
501 Sky News perfect picture
525 ITV News perfect picture
941 BBC1 (Scotland) perfect picture

These findings were at 11am, I will do the same tests at 8pm when I
know that some of the above listed channels will not work, notably
ITV1. Can anybody help me please by telling me what I need to do to
get the channels I want. I have spoken with somebody who lives in
Barcellona and he gets all the channels I want perfectly with a
1.2Metre dish.

PS. When tuned to BBC1 Scotland, the Signal Strength Indicator (on the
set-up menu) is at about 30%, the Signal Quality is at about 50%. The
default Transponder is set at 11.778, V, 27.5, 2/3.

Thanking you in anticipation.
