Hi guys, let me start by saying I've always loved Tom's Hardware, I've been here in the past for many things. That said, I've also OC'ed once or twice, although I really had no idea what I was doing and just following some instructions online. I've been running stock setup for awhile now and haven't bothered trying to OC (other then one failed attempt). I can never seem to glean enough from mismatched posts, so I will ask just once here. My setup is as follows:

Intel Core i7 - 920
Corsair XMS3 6 GB : 3 x 2 GB Memory - DIMM 240-pin - 1600 MHz ( PC3-12800 )
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R

All I really want to do is get my RAM running at max speed, and/or overclock the CPU as well. First priority in my mind is to just get the RAM running full speed. When I boot, BIOS post screen says 1066mhz. Can someone please explain the steps I need to take to get my RAM running max speed (1600mhz)? I'm fairly techy, but have never bothered with OC'ing very much. Just need to know what timings/ratios/speeds.

Thanks for any help you guys can give, I really appreciate it!
