Hey guys, I just got this lil monster I want to fix up for some mild/high pc gaming experiences, here are the specs and info on the little monster.

I think if I put in a good low profile graphics card, I can have an alright gaming experience. I am a total PC noob, But I am willing to learn and start small. So I am going to fix this disaster by getting a better card, since the graphics score sucks and is horrible with that integrated graphics chip.

The pc has an open PC-I express x16 slot that will only allow low profile cards in them.

I have been searching and reading up apparently my power supply has something to do with handling the graphics card. I understand that but as a NOOB, I just learned that. so my pc is supposedly having a 160W power supply(IF it's not accurate, please correct me.)

So I if anyone can toss a list at me or point me in the right direction I would gladly explore to where it is I am being appointed. So far I have come with this list at newegg.com

I chose this one out because it stands out and tends to beat the competition at a fairly affordable price for me.

SO anyone reading willing to help a kid in need of some help thanks.

I'd suggest this low profile card, its rougly the same price as the ones you already suggest:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102819

The reason being that I wouldn't go along with the nVidia 7200 or ATI 2400 - neither of those cards will provide a decide gaming experience - they're mainly for HD media playback for HTPCs. The 9400 is much the same boat as the card I've suggested.

OR

Which is $10 more than your initial suggestions - and give average gaming performance at 1280/1024.

Although, too be honest, with a piffling 160W power supply I doubt you're going to be able to create what you want out of the system. In my opinion, you'd be better served with a cheapo midi tower case, bog-standard 400W power supply (not a non-brand I hope) and a nVidia 9600 or ATI 4670 - and just transplanting all the old guts from your PC into the cheapo case (but not the PSU).

I suspect however money matters prevent this.
