Help with my external hard drive

Hello,
Can someone please help me...Ive put music videos which i dowloaded off the net onto my external hard drive butwhen i plug into my tv to watch it , it keeps showing that ive got more than 1 copy of each music video and some files are saying un supported files

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Maybe your external is also your backup drive and the filenames have extensions the television can't recognise and play. Pop it into your computer and have a look round.
