Hello,

Disk space in my organisation has become a mission critical.

Currently we ask users to use the same naming convention, use the folder structures in place to avoid duplicates, zip files where necessary and of course delete unused files.

We are currently looking into archiving files older than 3 yrs old.

Is there anything which you could suggest for future management which may help our users?

what specifically are you looking for?

something to help with archiving? or with specific file/folder structure? or free space management?

In the latter case, what can help is getting more storage capacity on your HDDs...

I am looking for best practices really. Any tips for users on a network so they will actively manage their own documents. Easier said than done i know!

Archiving should obviously done every year but this hasn't been the case. So we are archiving info that is 3yrs old + as a start. From their the plan is to do this on a yearly basis but ask the users to contribute actively on a day to day basis.

Any thoughts would be welcomed.
