MY ASUS motherboard is asus m2n-pv.vm n whenever i use following combination of ram, my windows does nt boot

1gb ddr2 667
1gb ddr2 667
512x2 ddr2 667

but when i use th this config, my windows boot up
1gb ddr2 667
512x2 ddr2 667

help me out, is this coz of bios???

do i need to update th bios???

if yeah, then how to do that??

Is the memory all the same voltages and timings? Its not good to mix memory.

DDR2 is cheaper than dirt, get yourself a 2x2gb kit and sell your old ram on ebay.
