I was wondering for this 4850 X2, that has 4 DVI ports, if the top 2 DVI ports where connected to one GPU and the bottom 2 where connected to the other. So could I have 2 monitors connected, effectively with each monitor having its own card?

However could you say the same for other multi GPU cards that only have 2 DVI ports, like in the 4870 X2? That the left DVI is associated with one GPU and the right one to the other?
