How to upgrade RAID 1 drives

Forum Storage : Hard Drives How to upgrade RAID 1 drives

I have 2 drives configured as a RAID 1 running under WinXP Pro. They're running low on space so I'm thinking of upgrading them. How's the process different from upgrading a single drive? Do I just clone the logical drive, remove the 2 old ones, plug in the newly cloned one, confirm the system boots, than plug in the second drive and let the RAID genii rebuild it? Thanks for the help.

Thats the way I would approach it. Just make sure that your data is backed up and the your BIOS can support the new drives. Keep your old drives until you are sure that your Data is safe.
