I'm building an i7 system with 4870x2 very soon. However I want to know if the Corsair 850W PSU is enough? Reason I ask there is a guy on another thread who bought a 750W PSU for a GTX295 and had problems until he bought a 1000W unit. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/foru [...] _15_0.html

I can't really stretch to a Corsair 1000W unless I absolutely have to.

ATI's website says Corsair 750W and 1000W is enough but strangely nothing about the 850.

The Corsair 850w is more than enough for a 4870 X2 and a GTX 295 for that matter, there was something wrong with that 750w PSU.

And the 850W model is new, that why its not listed.

It is made to handle 4870x2 in quad crossfire.

Even a Corsair 620W is enough for this system
