My Maya 2009 keeps crashing

My Maya 2009 trial run keeps crashing and I have no clue why. I can get so far and then it would crash, sometimes it won't even start up.

Processer: AMD Athalon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.01GHz
Memory: 2GB
System Type: 32 bit OS

Could the processor not be powerful enough? I'm thinking it might be the RAM. Maya 2009 requires atleast 2GB of RAM and 2GB free HDD space.

Bump up the mem to 4 gig. The issue will go away then.
