Hi all
recently I bought a PC with Asus M3N78-EM and Phenom II X3 720.
I installed Asus PCProbe and it shows

CPU - 56C
MB - 44C It sometimes goes upto 45C which is the threshold set by PCProbe. Usually this ranges from 41-44.

I am using a cabinet of local make. I had installed two fans and now it has total of three 80 mm fans, two on side and one on rear.

What is the allowed maximum temp for my mobo? Should I do something to reduce the temp?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
dee

First step would be to correlate the temperature readings with some utilities we know work well. Please download RealTemp and/or Coretemp. Then focus on the cpu core temps first.

Boot up, run the prog(s), let the PC idle for 10 min doing nothing else. Watch temps. They should settle by that time. That's your idle temp. Tell us that temp, your room temp, and which cpu heatsink/cooler you are using.

Then, assuming a standard PC case, remove the side cover. Verify that your cooler and case fans are running "fast". Let the PC idle another 10 minutes and report your idle temp with side open.

Let us know.
