Using 2.0v memory in a 1.8v mobo

Is it safe to run 2.0v memory on a mobo designed for 1.8v? The motherboard is a Gibabyte GA-MA790FX-UD5P. The memory is G.Skill 4GB (2x2gb).

yes, but you must manually set the memory voltage in the BIOS to run the memory at 2.0v. if you don't you will most likely experience crashing and instability due to the memory being underpowered.
