How to overclock a E7500 using a GA-945GCM-S2L mobo?

hi everyone i am new to overclocking could someone please explain to me how to overclock? and what should i be aware of when overclocking, my specs are:

Mobo GA-945GCM-S2L
intel core 2 duo E7500
3 giga DDR2 ram
ATi Radeon HD 5830
PSU 500
