Hi all.

Looking at a GTS 250 512mb.

Current PC specs are:

Intel Dual Core E5200 o'c 3.0 @ 1.28125vcore (bios)
2 x SATA 2 250gb HDD
1x DVD-RAM
Cooler master Hyper TX2
Ga-EG 31 m-s2 MOBO
2x 2gb DDR2 800 Ram (stock v and timings)
585W ODIN Gigabyte Psu (34a on 2x12v rails; max continuous output 460w, max rated 585)
+- 4 months old so negligible capacitor aging, single 6pin pci-e power cable)

So.. will that PSU with the GTS 250 be stable, and not pushing the envelope? I'll prob go back to 3.33ghz when I get the card to prevent CPU bottleneck, so I need to factor that slight power draw increase in too. At 3.33, to be prime stable I gotta put CPU at about, offhand, 1.38vcore.

Thanks in advance. :kaola:

No, your system won't use more than 200W.

The GTS 250 is not a power hungry video card. Neither is the rest of the system. Even overclocking you'll be okay. High quality 500 watt power supplies can easily handle just about any single video card made and a few multiple card configurations.
