Here are the two I am considering;

APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 500W ATX Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817148027

OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W ATX12V / EPS12V Active PFC Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817341012

They are both 500W so I am trying to figure out what the difference between them is. They are about 5 dollars difference in price. I am new to this, thanks!

U should consider neither....both are crap

Instead get the Corsair 400Watt. Much better quality

Oh and do I even need a power supply?

Can I just buy those cases that come with one?

I am the computer for light gaming, school work, and some editing. I will be runing an AMD 2.7 Kuma, 4 gigs ram, undecided on video card (leaning towards 4670 because it is mainly for sims 3 that I will be gaming with and maybe WoW here and there)

Appreciating all input!

U can but they are not going to be of the best quality. (like the Apevia which is crap)
Ocz is a little better, and Corsair is much better.

Corsair, by all means. Avoid Apevia.

also you might want to consider a tri-core processor as WoW can use the third core now.

and a 4770 isn't far off price wise from the 4670 but is far more powerful while using the same amount of energy, or a few watts more.

For a 4670? dont need high amps so get a quality psu instead of getting a cheap one that you just got cuz it fits the 12v levels.

I agree with Silverion on the corsair 400 watt. It should fit your needs and has had good reviews on new egg as well as other review sites. The only cases I've used and seen that are relatively inexpensive if you can find them on sale are the Antec Sonata IIIs. Not top notch power supplies but do great for most normal users and the case is relatively quiet if you turn the fans on low. Best of luck.

I was looking at NewEgg E-Mail Promotions and they had this if you are wanting a case with a power supply Antec Sonata III 500 Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply $89.99 With Promo Code EMCLSLS23. Although this may not be your style, but it does come with a decent power supply.
