how can i get direct 3d to enable in my start menu? it tells me that its not available. what does that mean and how can i fix the problem

Direct3D is a Microsoft DirectX API subsystem component.

click: START > RUN and in the box type: dxdiag
That will give you the direct X diagnostic tool.
Its fully enabled by default on all versions of windows, except for server editions.
