No audio using sony bravia LCD as monitor & speakers

ii am using my 52 in sony bravia as a monitor, running an hddmi cable from the video card to the hdmi 4 port, and a red/white cable from hdmi port 4 to the computers audio jack.

I can get the audio and video to work great on my mac laptop, but my new PC i built i can only get video, and no audio. I checked the audio output using my earbuds on the PC and they worked just fine.

Any advice on what i am missing here?

I have exactly the same problem, Did you find a solution to the no audio with a PC HDMI connection to port 4?

Did you enable hdmi as the default audio device?
