Hey guys
I live in India and Online stores like NewEgg don't ship here so I'm quoting the local prices

I'm Thinking of building a new system on the following lines

1). E8400 - at Rs.8690 - 173.8 US$
Or
. . .E7300 - at Rs.5800 - 116 $
Or
. . .Q6600 - at Rs.9690 - 193.8$

Will OC <- So which is better bang for buck? considering extra cost of aftermarket cooler if required

2) Palit HD 4850 at Rs.8800 - 176$

3) GA-EP35-DS3L at Rs 4800 - 96$

4) Samsung 2253BW @ Rs 11700 - 234$

5) Vx450W - Rs. 4000- 80$
Or
. . .CoolMaster 600W - Rs. 3200 - 64$

6) 4 Gigs (2g x2) Transend/Kington @ Rs2400 - 48$ < -can i use them at 4-4-4-12, these are 5-5-5-15 Value ram

7) Altec Lansing VS3251 at Rs 4000 - 80$

My budget for all (inc UPS , K/b mouse Etc.) is :bounce: 1K$ :bounce:

So what do u think guys is it a cool rig or any improvements that u can think of!

My Uses Are Gaming Crysis, NFS, COD etc. Virtualization - Lots of it! i.e VMWare, Gynamips etc
I would like to stick to Intel and wish new Phenom II will push things down

Prices of other components you might need to know are:

1. phenom II 920: Rs. 11500 - 230 $
2. Q9300-q9400 : Between 11000-12000(appx) 220 - 250$

also the following site might be helpful you can take INR 50 = 1$

Thank you for converting the currency for us. Your prices are not so different than here. Your choice between E8400 and Q6600 should be based on your usage. See the guide linked in my signature for a discussion of quad vs. dual core.

A P43 Chipset motherboard would be better, or ideally a P45.

Cooler Master PSUs should generally be avoided. The Corsair you mentioned is decent, but a slightly higher wattage PSU would be nice.

Often Antec Earthwatts, True Power Trio, or Quattro are affordable. OCZ is another lower cost PSU that is usually OK.

Regarding memory, your first priority should be 1.8V at 800Mhz. Timings should be secondary to that.

Hi Proximon thanks for the quick reply

I read somewhere P43's are not good overclockers
and a GA-EP35-DS3L is costing 150$
54 $'s I don't think its justifiable

Will try to find rates for the PSU you mentioned Hopefully will get them at optimal prices

I bought transent RAM for a friend but if I remembered right I have not noticed the Voltage written on the package I might be wrong so How I'll find that one out I Guess I've to google the model no ?
