New Graphics card for CoD Waw

Hi I have a older Dell XPS Gen 4, it can't run the newer games as it has an 256 ATI Radeon X800XT. I was looking at a new card and was thinking about a XFX GeForce 9800 GTX. Would this work in my older PC? It supports PCI E 2.0 16x - is this too new for an older chipset??? Thanks in advance O

I just put an XFX 4850 512 meg in a Dell XPS with a dual-core P4 2.8 and it is running perfect. Still using the 375 watt dell power supply. I have run UT3 at 1600x1200 maxed out, Bioshock maxed out and a few other games with no problems. It won't be the fastest out there for sure but it will do until I can build a newer one.

Not sure if you have a fry's near you but when I was there the other day (in GA) they had it for 169.00 and it included COD 4
