okay i have another computer i built but for some reason i keep having the same problem..here are my specs

psu: tx650 w
ram: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
hd: seagate 150gb 7200 rpm
cpu: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor (oc @ 3.28)
mobo: M3N78-EMH HDMI search it in google if u need to see the specs.
gpu: sapphire hd 4850 radeon
okay the problem is the following, i've been fighting with this machine for a couple of months already, it lets me use the internet, its fast but when i want to play a game, the rig is horrible, lags alot, fps jumps from 10 to 200 in counter strike source, same happens in 3dmark 06. the graphics card its good because i just got it like 3 days ago i switched from an gtx 260 evga because i tho the graphics was the problem, but now i know there is something else that is being a bottleneck to my computer, but i dont know what it is, can it be the cpu? please i really need ur help.

Sounds like motherboard drivers and/or bios tweaks. XP probably has mature enough mb drivers for the other computer but not this one and/or bios is out of whack. Get the machine stable before oc.

Why you using a lower end CPU then ur GPU man? I wld consider upgrading ur Cpu or consider ur Mobo as a prob...How old is this equipment? Retail new or used?
