Hello,

Will be setting up a simple home network. Nothing fancy, just two PC's and a router.

One PC, running Windows7, will be hard-wired to the router as it will be right next to it. The other PC, running XP, will be wireless to the router.

I have a printer that is Not wireless. Has to be connected to a PC via USB.
It will have a USB connection to the Windows7 PC (the one that is hard wired to the router)

Question: Can the PC that is wireless to the router also connect to, and also use, the printer (that is USB to the other PC), assuming both PC's are on ?

Thanks,
Bob

Share the printer out. Right click on the printer in Win7 and look for the sharing option.

Get the IP address of the Windows 7 printer. Go to start - Run on your wireless computer and type \\ipaddress (\\192.168.1.100)

That should pull up a screen where you see the shared printer to install.
