My computer does not recognize the SATA Drive

Did you just install an OS?
Is this the first time this has happened?
Are you talking about a hard drive or optical drive?
What are the setting in your BIOS (IDE, RAID, AHCI)?
what components do you have in your system?

More than likely you just need to format the drive (if it's a hard drive). And if you're on windows then run compmgmnt.msc and then choose disk management and then you should see the hard drive and then right click and choose format.
