I installed an 80Gig W Digital ATA100 WD800BB into an NEC with 64K RAM Pentium III 500 mHz - I get a diskette error (A:Drive error) Please advise.

Sorry that was supposed to be A/Drive error.

Does the PC have a floppy drive?
If it does, did you knock the wiring loose to it when you installed the hard drive?
If it does not have a floppy, turn off the floppy drive seek in the BIOS.
