I have pretty much standardized on Gigabyte motherboards. They work and overclock well. I have a low spec ECS board in my work computer. I got it free from Fry's as part of a CPU bundle.
Last summer I - finally - pitched an eleven year old ACorp <something>TX52. And I am going to retire my 7 year old AOpen motherboard with an AMD Barton core CPU .
The only sort of bad story I have involves my eVGA 680i motherboard. It just does not like any, not even first generation, quad core chips.
