hi umm i have a new sata hd as my main hd
but this is a new install of a computer and the is hd is clean

what should i set my hard drive to i got a

gigabyte ma78gm- us2h - mother boared

amd athlon 7750 x2 2.8ghz- processor

seagate barracuda 1TB sata hd

You do not need to set it to anything. Plug it into the SATA0 port. Set the BIOS to boot from the DVD, pop in the Windows disk, boot , and follow instructions.

ok u shure i dont need set the bios to raid or achi?

If you don't have the driver disk to put in after you hit f6 for 3rd party drivers, you'll need to make sure they are both turned off.
