Dual monitors

I have a NIVDIA GeForce 256. I tried plugging a second monitor into the back, but my computer does not see it in the display setting. I have Windows XP. Can anyone help me

Get a better video card like the ATI 2600XT.

definitely time for a new video card. the one you have is already 10 years old. there's little sense in keeping it any longer. get a geforce fx 5200. that'll allow you to run dual monitors.
